An important step towards strengthening the cultural life of the city is being taken in Klaipėda — a contract has been signed for the reconstruction of the Summer Stage, marking the transition of the project from the planning stage to the actual construction works.

Value of contract work: almost 12.1 million. €

According to the prepared project, a complete modernization of the Summer Concert Stage and the surrounding area is envisaged. The east and west stands, walkways, lighting and small architecture will be reconstructed.

The newly revived stage will accommodate about 9,000 spectators, making it possible for large-scale events, concerts and city celebrations.

The following are also planned on the territory:
• Skate and skateboard sports ground,
• Children's playground,
• Place for an outdoor cafe.
